The first thing you will need to do before calling to order a part or book in for a service call is locate the model number of your appliance. Every new appliance has a sticker placed on it at the factory level with the model and serial number on it. Here are a few places to look for the sticker:
Range– The model & serial number tag/sticker can normally be found inside the bottom storage drawer of the range. Pull out the drawer, and you will see the sticker inside the drawer either up against the front, or on one of the inside walls.
Fridge– Open the door of the fridge, and the tag can normally be found on the right or left inside wall of the fridge interior.
Dishwasher– The model tag can be located either along the edge of the door itself, or along the edge of the interior tub.
Washer (top load)– Lift the lid of the washer, the tag should be on the underside of the lid, or on the washer tub rim where the lid would rest on top. (Front load)- sticker will be just inside the door around the rim of the tub.
Dryer– As with the front load washer, the sticker can be found around the rim of the dryer drum just inside the door.
OTR Microwave: The sticker should be just inside the door of the microwave around the rim of the cabinet.
Writing this number down to provide to the staff will make it easier for them to troubleshoot the problem you’re having, book your appointment, or order the part you are looking to purchase.
